About Johanna
Johanna Bensam is an Audio-Vestibular Specialist and Clinical Program Manager at Muscat Private Hospital, with experience across audiology, vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation, tinnitus management and hearing healthcare. She has been licensed by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman, since 2018.
Johanna holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Audiology) from New Zealand and a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) from India. Her clinical work covers comprehensive hearing assessment for adults and children, hearing aid selection and fitting, tinnitus assessment and counselling, and vestibular testing and rehabilitation, including VNG, VEMP, ECochG, posturography and virtual reality–based rehabilitation.
Alongside clinical practice, Johanna works in clinical program development and management, professional education and research, with a focus on bringing technology into audiological and vestibular rehabilitation. She has contributed to the development of clinical tools and protocols.
Her approach is evidence-based and individualised, built on clear communication with each patient, with the aim of helping people achieve better hearing, balance, communication and quality of life.
