About Dr. Manish

Dr. Manish is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with 24 years of experience providing musculoskeletal care to patients of all ages. His practice centres on orthopaedic trauma and the treatment of degenerative joint disease.

He completed his MS in Orthopaedics at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) in Sevagram, India, in 2002.

His areas of expertise include orthopaedic trauma and complex fracture management, compound and open fracture treatment, the management of degenerative joint disease and arthritis, and ligament and soft tissue repair. Over more than two decades in practice he has managed a high volume of trauma and reconstructive cases.

Dr. Manish approaches every patient with the understanding that orthopaedic problems — whether a sudden injury or a long-developing joint condition — disrupt daily life in personal ways. He builds treatment plans around restoring function and independence as efficiently and safely as possible, and reserves surgery for cases where it offers a clear benefit over conservative treatment. He places particular emphasis on clear communication, so that patients feel informed and supported at every stage of their care.

He maintains an ongoing interest in improving outcomes in trauma care and joint reconstruction, and is a member of the Oman Orthopaedic Society.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. Manish is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon treating fractures and orthopaedic trauma, sports and work-related injuries, arthritis and degenerative joint conditions including hip and knee osteoarthritis, tendon and ligament problems, back pain and disc conditions, and nerve compression syndromes such as carpal tunnel.
Not necessarily. Dr. Manish reserves surgery for cases where it offers a clear benefit over conservative treatment. Many orthopaedic conditions respond well to physiotherapy, bracing, injections or activity modification, and the options for your situation will be discussed with you before any decision is made.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy involves taking a small sample of your own blood, concentrating the platelets from it, and injecting that concentrate into the affected area. It is used as an adjunct in certain tendon and joint conditions. Whether it is appropriate for you depends on your diagnosis, and this is assessed individually.
Yes. Sports injuries form part of his practice, including tendon tears, ligament injuries, rotator cuff problems and fractures sustained during sport, along with rehabilitation planning to support a return to activity.
Please bring any X-rays, MRI or CT scans and their reports (on disc or digitally where possible), previous operation or discharge summaries, a list of your current medications, and details of any injections or physiotherapy you have already had.
Dr. Manish consults in English and Arabic. Interpretation support can be arranged through the hospital where needed.
